Rain is not a reason for cancellation.  Always double check the night before for local weather forecasts.  The Captain always strives for a comfortable trip and will present the party with the sea conditions before leaving the dock.  Inclement weather cancellations will be determined by the Captain only.  Only the Captain reserves the right to cancel the charter with a full refund or reschedule.
  • 50% deposit is REQUIRED. Customer cancellations with less than 1 week notice will result in loss of deposit (no refund). Customer cancellations with more than 1 week notice will be re-booked on a later date that is agreeable between both parties.
Deposit can be paid via check made out and mailed to:

    Capt. Vincent Vetere

You can use Paypal to submit your deposit. If you choose to use PayPal as your means of payment, please submit your payment to vinny@autoexec.net, and use the "Friends and Family" option.
  • Mates work for tips only. 20% is the customary tipping policy for hard working, knowledgeable, and friendly mates.  The mate works hard to gather live bait, raise fish, net fish, clean fish and help with all your needs on board. Please extend your appreciation and courtesy for his effort.
  • No drugs or hard liquor allowed on board. No glass containers.
  • Drunkenness will not be tolerated and will bring an early end to your day.
  • No firearms or illegal drugs allowed on board.
  • Katfish Charters is maintained for the comfort and safety of our passengers. Anyone carelessly damaging the vessels or its equipment will be charged for the repairs and replacement.
  • Fish will be cleaned and packaged to your request.
  • Anglers should dress comfortably and appropriately as the season dictates.  Usually the mornings start off cool and the day gets warmer from thereon.  Dress in layers. Please no black heeled shoes.  Travel light; please limit yourself to one cooler for drinks and meals.
  • If your party needs catering we can arrange for any type of food desired.
  • We will provide all bait and tackle. If you will be bringing and using your favorite rod let us know in advance.
  • Please use your common sense on board, when you are boarding, and when you are disembarking. Boats are not stationary, decks may be wet. Please hold handrails at all times and please supervise your children at all times.
  • We are not responsible for any of your personal property including fishing rods or any other equipment or property.
  • We are not responsible for any damage to vehicles parked on NYC Streets, you do so at your own risk.
  • Please retain only the fish you will eat. We practice Catch & Release for future generations: "Only when the last tree has been cut down; Only when the last river has been poisoned; Only when the last fish has been caught; Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten."
  • Come with an open mind to enjoy the experience and catch fish!
